The Samsung Galaxy S7 To Come With Two Exynos And One Snapdragon In 2016

With Microsoft’s launch event being done and over with yesterday, its time to officially move on from 2015 and start thinking about devices that are to come next year. We’ve seen smartphones from every major and other manufacturer being introduced in to the market, each with their own unique features and offerings, but given the rate things advance in the gadget world now, pretty soon today’s top technology will be replaced with smarter, faster and improved offerings. One of these is Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and today we learn that the Korean manufacturer might be launching three devices, each with a different processor.

Samsung To Launch Three Galaxy S7 Variants In 2016 With Different Processors

While we’ve been hearing that the next Galaxy flagship from Samsung might be coming with two processors next year, today a rather interesting bit of news from a reliable source has surfaced. Samsung’s gained quite a bit of notoriety for processor choices on its Galaxy S lineup this year and as we head into 2016, looks like the company has a lot of options under its belt.
Two of these are the Exynos 8890, with the company’s custom M1 (Mongoose) cores and the Snapdragon 820 from Qualcomm, which also comes with its very own custom Kryo cores on board. But today, there might be another Exynos in the mix from Samsung, a processor that we’ve also heard of previously, as a potential candidate for the Galaxy Note 5.

In addition to the Exynos 8890 and the Snapdragon 820 we might also be seeing a Galaxy S7 variant this year with the Exynos 7422. You’ll know that the Exynos 7422 is rumored to be Samsung’s very own AIO chip if you’ve been following us regularly.  An AIO processor comes with all its major components including the CPU, GPU, RAM and modem on a single chip, which provides for a much efficient build and less heating problems.
Choosing different processors for different markets is something Samsung’s been familiar for a long time, and the Galaxy S7 variants will also be differentiated on a similar bases. US and China based customers will be getting the Snapdragon 820 version of the Galaxy S7 while Samsung’s Korean, Japanese and European markets will be getting the Exynos 8890 based variant of the Galaxy S7. As far as the Exynos 7422 goes, that device will be limited for customers in India only, which would seem to be a rather interesting move on Samsung’s end. Thoughts?
