Batman : Arkham Knight has seen a few delays that were met with both disappointment and understanding by fans. Rocksteady has stated that delaying the game was to make sure that every little aspect is ironed out and that they get to deliver the best game possible with Batman: Arkham Knight. Given how many broken and rushed games release lately this came as a welcome relief that we will get a polished and finished game with hopefully no issues, detracting from the experience.
Sefton Hill, Game Director of Batman: Arkham Knight and co-founder of Rocksteady Games shared via Twitter, that a very exciting new trailer is coming and “it’s looking sweet.” He also mentioned that we “might see someone familiar from Arkham City in there.”
He further went on to tease a brand new feature that no one outside of Rocksteady and Warner has seen before.
Hill’s tweets are definitely exciting and fans of the Arkham series should definitely look forward to finding out what he might be hinting at. The new feature certainly seems exciting as it would have to be something big, for him to be making such a big deal for it.
Regarding the familiar face from Arkham City, it again would make sense that it would be someone big. The Joker could be making an appearance in flashbacks, which could be expected given the importance that the prince of crime plays in the Arkham trilogy, but who would get to voice him this time? Mark Hamill was absolutely awesome but it’s extremely doubtful that he would be available with his Star Wars: The Force Awakens duties at present. Of course use of archived material is possible. Troy Baker voices many familiar faces Batman: Arkham Knight, including Tim Drake, Harvey Dent/Two Face, Robin and the Arkham Knight, so he might once again reprise his role as the Joker, with a little bit more mature take this time around.
Sefton Hill has recently confirmed on Twitter that the game will definitely be releasing on June 23 2015. Batman: Arkham Knight is set to release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We will bring you any new information prior to its release as soon as it becomes available.
