How to better manage Windows 10 notifications

While users have all been looking forward to the new and improved Action Center where you get notified of everything important, it does get annoying at times. If you want to have better control over Windows 10 Notifications, you can customize your settings to ensure you are only alerted for things you are really interested in. Here is how you can customize Windows 10 Notifications.
  • Go to the Settings app (WinKey + I) > System. windows 10 notifications
  • Head over to Notifications & actionscustomize windows 10 notifications
The Notifications & actions settings give you granular control over how you receive Windows 10 notifications. In here, you can disable various configurations to reduce the number of notifications you receive on your Windows 10 machine. From alarms, reminders, tips, to incoming calls – you can get notified for whatever you want. You can choose to enable Hide notifications while presenting when you are about to give a presentation. Or, if at any time, you simply want to disable all kinds of notifications, right-click the Action Center button in the taskbar and enable Quiet Hours.
Go to Show notifications from these apps to disable, enable, or customize app notifications. In here, you can manually configure settings by turning the notifications on and off, or customizing features for that specific app. You can choose to get notifications for an app only in the Action Center or through the banner. You can also mute the sound so that the apps that send more frequent notifications don’t interrupt you with a sound.
If you want to customize the length of time notifications are shown, you will have to go to Settings System to configure.
  • Go to the Settings app > System.
  • Click on Ease of Access Other optionswindows 10 action center
  • Under Visual options, you can select for how long you want notifications to appear on the screen.
Left at the default settings, Windows 10 notifications could appear overwhelming to many. The operating system, however, offers controls to not only reduce the number of alerts, but also to customize how the notifications behave. Don’t forget to let us know what other notification controls you want to see coming to Windows 10.

Dark Souls 3 Latest Update Gets In-Depth Analysis Of Longsword, Twinswords And Pyromancy Changes

This week, Dark Souls 3, the new entry of the series developed by From Software now available on PC and consoles in all regions, has received a brand new update. Update 1.4 introduced some changes for NPC questlines, making them easier to follow, as well as several balance changes that haven’t been detailed in full outside some generic statements. Following the update’s release, one dedicated Dark Souls 3 has been analyzing all the changes reported in the patch notes, discovering precisely what has been changed for some weapon types in the latest update.
Dark Souls 3
The full in-depth analysis of the Dark Souls 3 1.4 update and the 1.6 regulations has been shared on reddit by Zer0Hour17. You can check it out the changes right below.
Patch 1.06
tested on same characters. No change to stats or equipment
Refined Longsword +10 no change
Dark Sword +10
No change in AR
One Handed Stamina:
now 8 R1 swings at 171 stamina
still 5 R2 swings at 171 stamina
Two Handed stamina
still 7 R1 swings at 171 stamina
still 4 R2 swings at 171 stamina
Still 7 1h R1 swings after weapon art
Still 4 1h R1 swings after L2+R2
Still 6 2h R1 swings after weapon art
Still 4 2h R2 swings after L2+R2
Gotthard Twinswords
No change in AR
now 6 L1 swings at 171 stamina
now 4 L1 swings after L2+R2 at 171 stamina
Hollow Warden Twinblades +10
no change in AR or Bleed
now only 7 L1 swings at 171 stamina
now only 5 L1 swings after L2+R2
Chaos Bed Vestiges: No change
Chaos Firestorm: no change
Great Chaos Fire Orb: No change
Black Fire Orb: no change
So looks like a very slight nerf to Dark Sword R1 stamina use and a huge hit to both twinsword’s L1 stamina usage.
Dark Souls 3 is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game’s two DLC expansions will be released later this year and during 2017 respectively.

New Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Leak Points To Campaign + 10 MP Maps for Modern Warfare Remastered

infinite_warfare_maps_leak
Yet another Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare leak just hit the Web. A high-resolution version of the cover has been leaked; according to the additional information contained in it, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered would include both the campaign and 10 multiplayer maps.
However, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare would have two different editions. The basic one wouldn’t come with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered, while the Legacy Edition would; prices would be $79.99 and $109.99 respectively, though these are rumored to be in Canadian dollars.
Keep in mind that this is still very much unconfirmed information, but the cover seems to be legit at a first glance. In any case, we’ll post any update on this and all the other Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare leaks on WCCFtech until the official announcement (which shouldn’t be long now), so stay tuned.

MacBook 2016: Here Is What The Highest Configured Notebook Will Cost You

The 2016 12-inch MacBook did feature some new color models, but there were not a whole log changes present between this notebook and its predecessor. In fact, most of the changes that you see are present on the inside.

Highest Configured 12-Inch MacBook Is Going To Cost You $1,749 And Will Feature 512GB Of On-Board Storage

According to the latest configuration settings present on Apple’s MacBook website, the highest configured model is going to cost you $1,749. That is certainly not a small sum for something that is going to feature a Skylake Core M dual-core processor running at a speed of 1.3GHz (Turbo Boost clock takes that clock speed up to 3.1GHz). However, given its thickness, Apple had to make a boatload of sacrifices.
macbook-2016-gallery1
A Type-C USB port is still a part of the configuration, and before you ask, there are no additional ports present on the MacBook lineup apart from the 3.5mm headphone jack. However, Type-C has several advantages and according to the details listed on Apple’s website, this particular port provides support for the following:
  • USB 3.1 Gen 1 (up to 5 Gbps, although the maximum achievable speed is 10Gbps)
  • Native DisplayPort 1.2 video output
  • VGA output using USB-C VGA Multiport Adapter (sold separately)
  • HDMI video output using USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter (sold separately)

The 8GB of RAM will be running at DDR3 speeds, but Apple has made sure that the default clock speed starts from 1866MHz and the storage models will start from 256GB of PCIe flash storage and go all the way up to 512GB. On Apple’s website, the dimensions of the 12-inch MacBook has been listed below, according to other details as well:
  • Height: 0.14–0.52 inch (0.35–1.31 cm)
  • Width: 11.04 inches (28.05 cm)
  • Depth: 7.74 inches (19.65 cm)
  • Weight: 2.03 pounds (0.92 kg)
  • Intel HD Graphics 515
  • 2304 by 1440 resolution
  • 480p FaceTime camera

Battery life is definitely going to be one of the key features of the notebook lineup, and according to the details posted on the company’s product page, the MacBook family will be able to deliver the following backup time.
  • Up to 10 hours wireless web browsing
  • Up to 11 hours iTunes movie playback
  • Up to 30 days of standby time

The 12-inch MacBook lineup comes with a price tag of $1,299 and $1,599 and is available in the colors Rose Gold, Space Gray, Gold and Silver.

Huawei P9 Plus Finally Gets A Price Tag For Its Impressive Hardware And Looks

In addition to its P9 Lite, Huawei P9 Plus has had its official pricing details unveiled so let us take a look at them to see what the company is going to charge us for its premium flagship handset.
Huawei P9 Plus

Huawei P9 Plus Costs A Whopping 3988 Yuan For The 64GB Internal Storage Version

Armed with a Kirin 955, Huawei P9 Plus features the following processor configuration:
  • Quad-core 2.5GHz Cortex-A72
  • Quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex-A53
s_60a9d922ffca4bc79260807c061210f3
Additionally, this is the first lineup from Huawei to sport an AMOLED display, signaling that these type of displays are getting more popular and are not just going to be present on Samsung’s mobile devices. Huawei P9 Plus features a 5.5-inch screen and consumers will be able to purchase two internal storage models. However, it would be wise to purchase the 64GB storage model, since both models feature the same amount of RAM and there’s also a MicroSD card slot for you to expand your storage up to 128GB.
Huawei P9 Plus Finally Gets A Price Tag For Its Impressive Hardware And Looks
Moving on, the smartphone sports a dual-camera setup, with each sensor being a 12MP shooter. Unfortunately, the F/2.2 aperture is not wide enough to let significant amount of light in. In fact, you will be surprised to hear that the front camera has an aperture of F/1.9. Just like Mate S, Huawei P9 Plus features a 3D Touch Display and according to more details that we unearthed, the smartphone has 18 dedicated applications and controls for you to take advantage of the pressure sensitive display.
Huawei P9 Plus (4)
Thanks to its large screen, Huawei was able to accommodate a larger cell underneath its hood, and that value stands in at 3,400mAh. Since most manufacturers have started to switch to USB-C cables, it should not come as a surprise that Huawei P9 Plus also came with this particular connector. The battery is compatible with a fast charging feature, but we are not so sure that it is due to the connector itself that will contribute to this.

For all pricing and hardware specification details, we have compiled a table for you right at the bottom. Indeed, Huawei P9 Plus is an expensive smartphone, and we would like to know your thoughts on its pricing, hardware, and aesthetics.

Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare Might Be The Title Of This Year´s Call Of Duty

The US Playstation Store might have revealed the title for this year’s Call of Duty, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3
This year’s Call of Duty, until now dubbed as Call of Duty 2016, possibly has its official title revealed as it briefly appeared on the US PS Store before getting pulled.
The title was quickly spotted by Reddit user Goontmyfries, who managed to take a screenshot of the game’s title. If legit, the upcoming Call of Duty 2016 might well be named ‘Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’. Following the ‘leak’, the game’s listing was quickly removed from the US PS Store, and it would seem that an employee responsible for managing the Playstation Store pushed the button a bit too early.
cod2016
Call of Duty 2016 ‘Infinite Warfare’, is developed by Infinity Ward – the developer responsible for the original Call of Duty titles, the Modern Warfare titles, and Call of Duty: Ghost from 2013.
Earlier this month, well-known industry insider, Shinobi,  revealed some interesting details about the upcoming Call of Duty for this year. According to Shinobi, this year’s Call of Duty is “nothing like” Call of Duty: Ghost, and will be full on sci-fi. Furthermore, it is said that Call of Duty 2016 ‘Infinite Warfare’ is set in a very far future, and will possibly involve space combat. If what Shinobi revealed is correct, the game will make Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 feel like it is set in the stone age.
Back in 2014, Activision and Sledgehammer Games released Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Whether we’re looking at a new ‘Warfare’ series remains to be seen. As always, we’ll keep you updated.

Modern Warfare Remastered Trilogy on the Way?

call_of_duty_modern_warfare_3
Although people who buy the as-of-yet unconfirmed Call of Duty Infinite Warfare are expected to get a remastered copy of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare along with it, that won’t be the only way of getting your hands on the FPS classic.
Amazon UK had a listing for a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered trilogy, which we would expect contains Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3. Obviously.
And while the online shopping giant was quick to delete the listing – which had no picture attached to it – the timing of this second leak seems a little bit too good to be true.
Of course, it could be that some over-excited Amazon employee added the entry to the database on the off chance and then accidentally pushed publish. It sounds daft, but it wouldn’t be the first time. On the other hand, it seems infinitely more likely that Activision are hoping a spot of nostalgia will make this another blockbuster year for the still popular but no longer record breaking series.

2016 Nexus Smartphones Dubbed As HTC M1 And S1 Internally; No Information On Launch Date

As we head along a slow 2016, there’s little news on what to expect on the gadget front in the upcoming months. With the only launches remaining now being the iPhone 7 and the Galaxy Note 6, things are moving along as expected. On the Android side of things, we’re also waiting for this year’s Nexus upgrades from Google’s end, as the software giant showed renewed interest in the lineup last year. With the launch of the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X, Google wanted a larger piece of the smartphone pie last year, and if current word on the rumor mill turns out to be correct, then we might get a similar approach this year.
Nexus 5X Nexus 6P

Google To Launch Two Nexus Devices This Year As Information On HTC’s Involvement Resurfaces

When it comes to this year’s Nexus launch, we’ve been hearing quite a bit from the rumor mill over the past couple of months. The first of such claims surfaced three months back, with sources claiming that this time it would be HTC with Nexus manufacturing rights. Soon after, some more information surfaced on the matter, which claimed that the Taiwanese manufacturer had managed to secure three years of Nexus rights from Google, which spelled out some good news for the company’s fans all around.
Now, as things should start to heat up for summer, serial tipster Evan Blass is back, this time with some more information about HTC and Google’s partnership for this year’s Nexus launches. According to Blass, there will be two devices this year as well on the Nexus front and these have been internally dubbed as the Nexus M1 and the Nexus S1. Two devices this year mean that Google’s looking to separate the Nexus lineup once again in terms of cost, an approach that the company started when the 2014 Nexus was criticized by several quarters as coming with a heavy price tag.
As a manufacturer, HTC’s been in recovery mode for quite a while, especially after the company’s infamous launch of the HTC One M9 last year. The One M9 was a well designed device featuring all the usual flagship specifications, including the Snapdragon 810. While other manufacturers including the likes of LG and Samsung chose to skip over the processor in their 2015 flagship smartphone launches, HTC didn’t and the manufacturer was soon made to release quick updates to solve the SoC’s overheating issues.
But that was all last year, and fortunes appear to be great for HTC as we head towards summer. The HTC 10 hasn’t come up with any issues so far and Blass is well known for his sources inside the industry. As things move forward, more should surface on this year’s alleged Nexus launches from HTC so stay tuned for the latest updates and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Gets Windows 10 Open Beta on May 5, System Requirements Revealed

forza6_apex_4k_rain
Microsoft announced a couple of months ago that Forza Motorsport 6: Apex would be the first Forza game to be released on Windows 10 PC this Spring. Today, developer Turn 10 confirmed that the Open Beta will be available on May 5, while updates will be delivered throughout the Summer. This will also be the foundation for future Forza titles for Windows 10, since all Forza games in the future will be developed for both Xbox One and PC.
Turn 10 also shared the official system requirements, which seem to hint better optimization than recently published Microsoft games like Quantum Break and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition: a single GTX 980Ti or Radeon Fury X should be enough to run the game at 4K@60FPS.
We’ve embedded the whole post by Community Manager Brian Ekberg below.
A new era for the Forza Motorsport series begins on May 5 with the release of the open beta for Forza Motorsport 6: Apex. Crafted specifically for Windows 10, Apex represents the critical first step in the future of the Forza franchise as it expands into Windows 10 PCs. Apex combines the power and performance of DirectX 12 with Turn 10’s racing expertise, our proprietary ForzaTech™ engine, and Forza’s legacy of stellar content. Most importantly, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is our way to introduce Forza’s award-winning gameplay to a new audience on Windows 10 and invite a new group of gamers to develop a passion for cars and racing.
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex delivers a focused and curated single-player tour of Forza Motorsport’s best content, including authentic wheel-to-wheel action, unique automotive experiences, and constant rewards, all running on DirectX 12 at resolutions up to 4K. In the game, players will be able to dive into a new career mode anchored by a 12-event “Showcase Tour”, where players will race thrilling cars on circuits from across the globe. In addition, Apex’s new “Spotlight Series” events will challenge players with unique automotive events that will be updated on a regular basis. Along with a new set of Xbox Live achievements to earn worth 1000 gamerscore points, Apex players will find new mechanics to explore, including an all-new Race Points system that dares you to turn off the assists, develop your skills, and take on greater challenges.
In Apex, players will race a diverse line-up of 63 beautifully detailed Forzavista™ cars, each with working headlights, doors, and cockpits, intricately modeled interiors and exteriors, and full damage. Players can push those cars to their limits on 20 exciting track configurations across six locations, including night and wet-weather variants.
Open Beta Updates Delivered Throughout the Summer
During the open beta for Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, players can expect to play a beautiful, high quality experience that will run on a variety of Windows 10-enabled machines. As a first-party Microsoft studio, Turn 10 is obsessed with performance in Forza games and, during the open beta for Apex, we will be working to improve the game’s performance across a diverse selection of hardware setups (see below for our recommended PC specs).
As development continues, players can expect to see updates and improvements to the game.
For example, wheel support is coming to Forza Motorsport 6: Apex and Turn 10 is busy working to ensure that Apex delivers the kind of wheel support, performance, and features that racing fans expect from a range of available hardware. In addition we plan to support additional features that we know are important to PC gamers, such as the ability to disable Vsync and an in-app framerate counter.
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex utilizes the cloud-based Drivatars of your Xbox Live Friends and the Xbox One community, as well as asynchronous leaderboards for comparing your Race Points, but the game will not feature online multiplayer or the livery design editor. However, in an early beta update, we will be adding a selection of curated livery designs from the Forza painting community to the car select flow.
We Look Forward to Your Feedback
While we can’t wait for fans to play the game, we’re equally as excited about how Forza Motorsport 6: Apex helps us improve the gaming experience on Windows 10 for both gamers and developers alike. Following the beta release on May 5, we invite players to download the game and get involved. Feel free to ask questions and report issues at our Web site, in our dedicated Apex forums, and on our social media channels like Twitter and Facebook. Your feedback is crucial in shaping both the future of Apex as well as the Forza series on Xbox One and PC.
