Xiaomi Max Will Not Have One Important Feature Out Of Its Impressive List

Xiaomi Max is going to be the company’s first attempt at rolling out a gargantuan sized smartphone, and while the hardware incorporated inside is nothing short of impressive, there is one notable feature that is not going to be present inside the 6.44-inch handset.

Xiaomi Max Will Not Provide Support For Quick Charge 3.0 – Bundled Charger Will Deliver Hefty Amounts Of Current Though

There are going to be two models of Xiaomi Max; one will feature 2GB of RAM, while the other one will sport 3GB of RAM. It is also speculated that the upcoming phablet will have varied amounts of internal storage, depending on the model that you purchase. However, one drawback of owning the smartphone will be that it will not provide support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. In short, the battery will not charge up as fast as you would have hoped, despite the fact that the upcoming handset will have a bundled charger that will deliver up to 2 amperes through 5 volts.
The Snapdragon 650 SoC’s processor makeup is going to be as follows:
  • Two 1.8GHz Cortex-A72 cores
  • Four 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 cores

Currently, there is no word on a MicroSD card slot, which will definitely be a deal breaker if not present. The SoC produced on the 28nm process will come nowhere close to the performance of Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890, it will still give the mid-ranged chipsets something to think about thanks to the inclusion of Cortex-A72 present in the SoC. What’s more is that the primary selling point of Xiaomi Max is not only going to be its affordable price tag, which is a business model that has long been the success of the company, but its 6.4-inch screen size as well.

The resolution being rendered on the device will be 1080p, and the natural benefits of having a massive phone in your hands will not just be having more room to play games and enjoy high-definition content, but Xiaomi will have ample room to place a massive battery capacity too. According to the source, thanks to the 6.44-inch screen, Max will feature a whopping 4,500mAh cell underneath its chassis. That aforementioned amount is larger than what we see on modern tablets, and that 6.4-inch screen will be the contributing factor to that.

The release date of the massive phablet is going to be May 10, and for its specifications, we believe that it is going to be priced right around the same range as a Redmi Note 3. It is possible that thanks to the larger screen size and battery capacity, the final retail price could go up, but just by a smaller margin, so that the company is able to cater to a larger audience.
