Following last week’s leaks and teases, Activision has finally revealed the next entry of the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, and the remastered version of one of the more popular entries of the series, Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered. Following the reveal, some comparison screenshots have emerged online, highlighting the differences between the original version and remastered release.
A few hours ago, some additional footage comparing the original Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare and Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered has emerged online thanks to a livestream focused on both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered. Unlike other remasters, Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered looks singnificantly better than the original, showing how Raven Software is putting quite a bit of effort in the game’s development. Yesterday, Activision confirmed that Call of Duty Infinite Warfare will be released during November in North America and Europe on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No mention has been made of possible PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, but it seems like Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will be the final entry of the series on previous gen consoles, as Infinity Ward has recentlyconfirmed that Call of Duty Infinite Warfare won’t be released on PS3 and Xbox 360. Not surprising, considering the old-gen versions of Black Ops 3 won’t even receive all of the game’s DLC map packs.
Following the Infinte Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered reveal, more details on Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered have emerged online thanks to the Activision official website. According to the FAQs, Infinite Warfare Remastered is apparently not going to be available for purchase separately, so players will have to purchase one of the game’s special editions.
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this November. More on both games will surely be coming in soon, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
