Washed Out Colors On Nexus 5X, 6P, Nexus Player? You’re Not Alone

Google Is Well Aware Of The Washed Out Color Issue On Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P & Nexus Player

No matter how refined software is, it can be edgy in a lot of places, causing problems on ends where the user least expects it to be. Now, we’re hearing reports that users of the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Nexus Player are experiencing washed out colors on the display when viewing content. Google on the other hand, has acknowledged the issue and is well aware of its existence.

Interestingly though, Google was able to resolve the issue on the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P, and the fix will be pushed out soon to all users. But on the Nexus Player, the story is a little different, and Google’s engineering team is working round the clock to ensure that everything is fixed, and we’re certain that they will patch things up in a swift manner.

The Nexus 5X and 6P are mighty powerful devices and are something which many users are going to get their hands on in the coming months, therefore Google is likely to give them more priority compared to the Nexus Player, which, despite all efforts, has remained a niche product.

Speaking of the Nexus Player, it would’ve been great if Google had invested more resources into it, giving itself more dominance in the living room as a result. While Google’s ‘TV’ platform has all the key elements in place to be a winner, but the lack of interest from developers is somewhat daunting to say the least.

Coming back to the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, both the handsets from Mountain View are absolutely refined versions of their predecessors and carry a lot of muscle under the hood. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P scream ‘flagship’ on all levels. But sadly, just like any other Nexus device, there are things which put off users from buying the devices; the camera for instance. While Google refines the camera experience with each release, but Nexus devices tend to lag behind compared to what’s currently on offer by other manufacturers. We really wish Google comes up with the most epic formula to make their devices the go-to handsets in the world of Android smartphones.
