iOS 9.1 beta 5 for developers and public testers has been released and is now immediately available for download.
iOS 9.1 Is Inching Closer Towards Release
The new beta of iOS 9.1 arrives exactly one week after the fourth pre-release build was issued to developers and public testers. Just like the previous builds before this one, iOS 9.1 beta 5 aims to squash bugs and bring performance enhancements to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. In other words, if you’re already running iOS 9.1 beta on your device, then we highly recommend that you get updating right away.
Launch the Settings app from your device’s home screen and then tap on ‘General.’ Look for option labelled ‘Software Update’ and open it. Once here you’ll be presented with the beta 5 download which you can install immediately.
Keep in mind that since this is an over the air update, therefore you’ll be required to be connected to a WiFi network, have at least 50% charge on your device. Also make sure that you’re connected to an AC power outlet just to make sure that things go as smoothly as possible.
For those enrolled in the Apple Developer Program, you can grab the fifth beta as a complete IPSW download as well straight from Cupertino’s developer portal. Public Beta testers however, have to make do with an over the air update, nothing else.
iOS 9.1 Public Beta is available for free to those who are daring to try it out and help shape up the future of iOS for Apple and consumers alike. If you’re all up for giving it a go on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then simply head over to this link for more details: iOS 9.1 Public Beta Now Available, Here’s How To Download It Right Now.
The developer oriented beta of iOS 9.1 however, will cost you a bit of money to gain access to. But for $99 a year, you’ll be able to download and install every single pre-release build of Cupertino’s desktop and mobile firmware. We recommend that you invest a little cash in this arena if you consider yourself a diehard Apple fanboy.
If there’s anything new in iOS 9.1 beta 5, then we’ll definitely highlight it here. Till then, we urge everyone, developers and non-developers alike, to update to the fifth beta of iOS 9.1 and reap the benefits of Cupertino’s bug fixing and performance enhancing release.
