Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, this year’s most anticipated first-person shooter from Activision that serves as a sequel to the ninth main installment in veteran Call of Duty video game franchise, is exactly a month away from its launch, and Microsoft has now listed the game on the official Xbox Store for pre-order, revealing the amount of space that you will have to clear up in your Xbox One console if you are planning to buy the digital version of the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is a Massive 45GB Download on Xbox One – Reported to be the Most Anticipated Game of this Holiday Season

The next title in Activision’s highest grossing first-person shooter veteran video game franchise known as Call of Duty is only a month away, and the developer is currently busy adding final touches to the game. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 comes as the twelfth main installment in the series, and marks the continuation of the sub-series of the Call of Duty franchise known as Black Ops. Activision and the developer Treyarch have already released a lot of details about the title, but an interesting one has just recently come to light.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will clock in at a massive 45GB on Xbox One according to the game’s listing on Xbox Store. While that is a lot of required space on your console’s storage drive, the download size for the upcoming game actually weighs in less than its predecessor, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which was a 49GB download. The massive install size is apparently due to the 3 huge game modes: Multiplayer, Zombies and the all-new 4-player co-op in the campaign. The 45GB download size will make Call of Duty Black Ops 3 the second largest Call of Duty game on the Xbox Store, however, updates might see the game climb to the first position. The game’s file size for PC and PS4 hasn’t been revealed yet, but it won’t be much different than this.

In another news, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the most anticipated game of holiday 2015 and is expected to be the No. 1 multiplatform game, according to a new report from Neilsen Game Rank service. The upcoming shooter with 98 percent anticipation rate topped Fallout 4 that has an anticipation rate of 95%. You can read more about the survey here.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is coming to last-gen consoles as well. However, the last-gen version of the game will lack a proper single player campaign. It will be interesting to see how the developer manages to offer a completely unique graphical and gameplay experience on current-gen platforms while keeping the last-gen versions on in form. The game will launch simultaneously across all platforms later this year on November 6.
