Activator For iOS 9 Is Finally Here And Available To Download

If you ask any regular jailbreak user about the tweaks they have installed on their device, then it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Activator is a very common installation across the board. Activator allows a user to invoke actions using pre-defined gestures. In other words: the luxury of jailbreaking does not feel complete if Activator isn’t installed on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Created by well-known developer Ryan Petrich, the tweak has now been updated with support for iOS 9. Keep in mind that the iOS 9 support has been added to the beta version of Activator, which means that you cannot just dive into Cydia and download it right away.

How To Download Activator For iOS 9

Launch Cydia on your jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and then tap on the ‘Sources’ tab located at the bottom of the display. Now you’re going to tap the ‘Edit’ button then tap on ‘Add.’ You’ll be presented with a popup box asking you to input a URL. Simply type in the following address as is without making any sort of changes: http://rpetri.ch/repo
Tap on ‘Add Source’ and then you’re good to go.
This is Ryan Petric’s personal beta repo, and here you’ll be able to find the Activator beta with support for iOS 9. Go ahead and download it onto your device, and make sure you respring for the changes to take proper effect.
According to the changelog as per Ryan’s repo in Cydia:
-Support iOS 9
-Add support for shortcut actions on iOS 9
-Add custom 3D Touch icon events on compatible 3D Touch devices

Of course, since this is a tweak that carries a beta tag, therefore expect a few rough edges during your daily usage. But also given the fact that Ryan Petrich is known publish tweaks that lie in the higher quality spectrum, therefore it’s safe to say that Activator beta for iOS 9 shouldn’t throw that many issues in your day to day usage.
