Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Could be the title of the New AC, Not Victory; Announcement on May 12

A few hours ago we reported that Ubisoft will be officially announce the next Assassin’s Creed on Tuesday, May 12. It has already been rumored that the next Assassin’s Creed title will be set in Victorian London, and yesterday’s teaser confirms that with a few indicative hints cleverly placed in the official site of the new title as well as in the teaser.

Earlier footage and screenshots suggest that players will have a grappling hook at their disposal, and be will be able to fight on carriages.

Sources indicate that the announcement will be made during a pre-recorded stream on may 12. The game could be no longer called Victory but rather Assassins’ Creed Syndicate.

It has recently been suggested that Ubisoft is working on implementing  “innovative asynchronous gameplay” into Assassin’s Creed Victory according to the Linkedin profile of the game’s associate producer, Daniel Palix.
Palix CV states that he led development on a pair of new features in the new game, including “an innovative asynchronous gameplay” and “some innovative Player Space”. He explains however that the asynchronous mode is not confirmed.

The reveal of the new Assassin’s Creed will be on May 12, 2015 at 6PM CET.

Ubisoft has opted to formally announce Assassin’s Creed Victory ahead of E3 2015, so maybe they plan to have a demonstration of the game at the event in June. Assassin’s Creed Victory is set in Victorian London and development is led by Ubisoft Quebec. Assassin’s Creed Victory is expected to release holiday 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We will bring you any new information on the title as soon as it becomes available.
