Witcher 3 ‘Xbox’ Footage is From the PC Build; Microsoft Apologizes for Confusion

A new video for The Witcher 3 was made available on the official Xbox YouTube channel, which was eventually reported to be from the PC version of the game.
Microsoft apologised for any confusion that might have been caused since the footage was at 1080p @ 60fps, while the Xbox One version runs at 900p 30fps. The video features a quest from the prologue.

The Witcher 3 1080p 60fps footage caused a bit of confusion for which Microsoft apologised for

Microsoft released the following statement regarding the footage:
“This morning we posted a new trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to our YouTube channels featuring footage provided by CD Projekt Red that was captured from the PC version of the game and may not be reflective of final Xbox One gameplay,”

“This was in no way intended to misrepresent the title on Xbox One. We have updated the description of the asset to make clear the source and platform of this footage. We apologize for any confusion and look forward to the game arriving on both Xbox One and PC on May 19, 2015.”

The Witcher 3 is less than a month away from release, and as we have previously covered, CD Projekt has already announced that pre-load options are already live, as well as the unlock times for The Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3 will release on May 19 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We will bring you more information on The Witcher 3 as soon as it becomes available.
