CD Projekt RED has revealed that reviews of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will go live one week before the launch of the game on May 19 2015. This certainly proves the studio’s faith on the title and should serve as an indication of the quality we can expect from all three versions of The Witcher 3.
In The Witcher 3 story, Geralt isn’t actually the main character, Ciri is, Quest Designer Nicolas Kolm told German site Computerbild:
For me Cirilla is the main character in Witcher 3. The story is actually about her. Geralt is just the vessel through which we narrate the story.
Geralt of course is still the main character in terms of gameplay. There are occasions during which players will be able to play as Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon (known as Ciri or the Lion Cub of Cintra) during The Witcher 3, but these sections are supposedly few in comparison to the time spent with Geralt. Still, the plot is mainly about her.
CD Projekt RED’s GingerEffect explained on the official forums:

After all, that’s all it was (even said so in the article, thank you German Journalist for putting in the full quote). Not sure how some people seem to think that this means Geralt is nerfed or made less important. Telling a story through a certain characters eyes, but having that story revolve around another character does not belittle the “vessel” in any way. Look at games such as Last of Us or Bioshock Infinite for examples of what I mean.And me dissing Geralt? How could I ever diss a fellow beard-man? That’s just silly.Edit: Before someone construes this as meaning that we rip of Last of Us or Bioshock, that’s NOT what this means. That’s just an example of what I was describing and has no bearing on the story or game of Witcher Wild Hunt. Thanks.
YouTuber ImAnderZEL recently provided 15 minutes of gameplay on Ultra settings on PC (at 1080p@60fps) which we have previously shared, and now he provided some more footage with the same settings, which can be viewed below.

Note that the PC setup featured a GTX 980, i7 4790, and 8GB of RAM. Not the final build of the game, so some bugs could be present.
The new site for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt features a vast description in all aspects of the massive RPG including its story, enemies and allies, the child of prophecy, equipment, mutations and others.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is said to offer over 100 hours of game time, and even a speedrun took internal testers 25 hours to complete. The full map of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is absolutely huge, and there are many different areas and environments that players traverse in during their countless quests.
Nvidia has recently released a gameplay video for the Witcher 3, showcasing Nvidia HairWorks, PhysX and other features. A behind the scenes video released by CD Projekt RED shows Game of Thrones’ Charles Dance talk about his role in the Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3 is only three weeks away from release, and as we have previously covered, CD Projekt has already announced that pre-load options are already live, as well as the unlock times for The Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3 will release on May 19 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We will bring you any new information on The Witcher 3 as soon as it becomes available.
