Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Might Be Demonstrated at E3

Information has surfaced on the official E3 website that leads us to believe that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 just might be making an appearance at E3 this year. In fact, the statement is fairly definitive that CI Games will be showing off their latest game.

CI Game’s E3 description page has tipped us off to their presentation of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 this year.

As the plans for this years E3 finalize, developers and show exhibitors alike are starting to populate their E3 show pages with not only their biographical information, but also with hints or definitive statements about what they plan on demonstrating this year. CI Games is no exception, and they’ve let the cat out of the bag on their very own page. Quite plainly, they tell us that;
This year at E3, CI Games is presenting Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, the best sniper experience for PC and next gen consoles.
The Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchise is tactical shooter that emphasizes the use of stealth to accomplish the missions. The game world is subject to real newtonian physics where environmental conditions have to be taken into consideration when shooting. They also had an AI system that took into account the real human field of vision.

The previous games were large open looking environments that were mostly linearly travelled. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is going to emphasize a more open-world sandbox style approach that should allow players to carry out missions as they see fit. CI Games wants to make a game that you keep coming back to, as each mission can played differently every time.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 will continue the storyline and place you in a modern-day conflict set in Eastern Europe where your character is caught in the middle of three warring factions. You’ll be able to use stealth and cunning to take out your enemies either close up with novel melee attacks or from afar, using your sniper rifle.
Even though the reviews are mostly neutral bordering on negative, the mechanics offered are still something that has potential. While it looks as if it’s a modern day Sniper Elite clone, the differences and any improvements they make could potentially make for a great game. I enjoyed the open-ended aspect of Sniper Elite III, and would probably like to explore what can be done in Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 with a more modern arsenal.
Look for an announcement this year at E3, and we’ll probably be covering that live as it happens on the E3 show room.
