GTA V – Rockstar: “PC is the Only Machine to Achieve Framerates Higher Than 30FPS, Supports Resolutions up to 4K and Beyond”

GTA V PC is releasing later today, and PC gamers will finally get to experience the hugely anticipated title that has only been available on consoles before. Rockstar released a fact sheet for the game detailing some information on what is considered to be the best version of the title.
GTA V
Rockstar states that their goal was to deliver not only the most graphically advanced version of GTA V, but one that was also flexible and optimizable for a variety of different setups so that every PC owner can adjust the game according to their system.

“Our goal with the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V was to not only make the most graphically and technically advanced version of Grand Theft Auto V, but also the most flexible and configurable version, so that players on all kinds of PCs could experience GTAV at its best. Modest minimum system specs will still achieve beautiful visuals and steady performance, while hardcore PC players with access to top-of-the-line rigs can crank up the visuals.”
They also detail that the game supports resolutions up to 4K and beyond, and further go to state that the PC is the only machine that can achieve a framerate higher than 30FPS. Even though the draw distance has been doubled on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions from last generation versions, it is further improved on the PC, providing more clarity and detail that ever before.
“GTA V on PC supports resolutions up to 4K and beyond, depending on the player’s hardware. 1080P is achievable with an average spec rig and the game is optimized to look and perform beautifully on a wide range of machines,”
“The PC is the only machine to achieve a framerate higher than 30FPS. Enjoy running around Los Santos at a smooth 60FPS for ultimate control, handling, and precision targeting.”

“The draw distance on the PS4/XB1 versions was doubled from the old generation. It’s even further improved upon in the PC version, where you can see for miles with even more clarity and detail than previously possible.”
The huge variety of settings available include  textures, shaders, water quality, grass and particles, tessellation, reflections, post FX and other fancy things as well as a density slider, that as Rockstar states is:
“allowing you to configure how busy the streets and sidewalks are and how busy the city can be around the player.”

Nvidia has already released a game ready driver for the game. GTA V for PC is releasing later today. We will bring you any new information as soon as it becomes available.
