HTC 'Hima' Flagship Expected in March Alongside Lite Variant: Reporthtc_one_m8_generic_twitter.jpg

A serial tipster has claimed that HTC's next flagship has been codenamed as HTC Hima, and might not be named the One (M9), following the HTC One (M8) (seen above) naming scheme that including the production codename.
@upleaks in a series of tweets has also claimed new details from HTC's upcoming flagship, which the tipster suggests will launch in March.
In one of the tweets (via Phonearena), the tipster suggested that HTC's next flagship will be available at all major carriers in the US and is currently being tested "at carrier lab." Another tweet about the launch date of the rumoured HTC Hima indicated March 2015, and added that the Taiwanese brand might launch few Desire handsets at MWC.
Apart from Hima, HTC is also working on an affordable version of the flagship dubbed HTC Hima Ace, much like the HTC One (E8) that was considered as a plastic variant of the One (M8). The Hima Ace will launch in China and come with dual-SIM support, according to the tipster.
As for purported specifications, @upleaks says the HTC Hima will feature a 5-inch full-HD display and will be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 2GHz four cores + 1.5GHz four cores. It is further said to support LTE Cat. 6 connectivity, feature 3GB of RAM, a 20.7-megapixel rear camera, and a 2840mAh battery.
The tipster suggests that the handset might sport a 13-megapixel or 4-megapixel UltraPixel front camera. The HTC Hima is also said to run Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7.0 UI.
The current set of innards contradict an earlier leak that suggested a 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 64GB/ 128GB inbuilt storage, 3GB of RAM, and a 3500mAh battery for HTC's next flagship.
We remind readers however, that nothing is official yet, and that all such leaks must be taken with a pinch of salt.
