Oppo Find 7 vs Xiaomi Mi4 – Review, Specs, Features and Price

Some manufacturers are targeting this niche by integrating quicker charging technology in their top-line phones. Examples of such phones are the two fastest growing phones in China – the Oppo Find 7 and Xiaomi Mi4. Being some of the latest handsets, you expect these two devices to run on the latest KitKat operating system. However, the Find 7 runs the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and uses Oppo’s color OS UI. On the other hand, the Mi4 operates using the Android 4.4.2 with the acclaimed MIUI on top.
Display and Dimensions
The Oppo Find 7 has a 5.5 inch QHD (2560 x 1440) touch screen. The phone’s overall dimensions are 152.6 x 75 x 9.2 mm and weigh 171g.
Xiaomi Mi4 sports a much smaller display of 5 inches IPS LCD captivating touch screen with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The overall dimensions stand at 139.2 x 68.5 x 8.9 mm weighing 149g.
Camera
When it comes to the camera, Oppo Find 7 boasts a 13 MP rear camera with a resolution of 4160 x 3096 pixels, with autofocus and dual LED flash. The phone is also accompanied by a 5 MP frontal camera. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi4 houses a similar 13 MP rear camera with an amazing resolution of 4128 x 3096 pixels coupled with auto focus and LED Flash. The phone also comes with a powerful 8 MP frontal shooter.
Processors
The Oppo Find 7 is equipped with a quad-core 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU while the Mi4 houses a Quad-core 2.5 GHZ Snapdragon 801 processor.
Storage and RAM
The premium Oppo Find 7 has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage expandable up to 128 GB using a microSD. Meanwhile, Xiaomi Mi4 offers 3 GB of RAM and has either 16 GB or 64 GB internal memory. However, there is no provision for a microSD card.
Battery
This is the main selling point for both the phones. The Oppo Find 7 has a large battery unit of 3000 mAh. The phone is also fitted with VOOC tech that enables the phone to charge from 0% to 75% in 45 minutes. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi4 has a massive battery unit of 3020 mAh. This device is also fitted with the Quick Charge function which enables it to charge from 0% to 100% in only 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Price
The Find 7 is available for $499, and the Mi4 goes for $399. They are both fairly priced, but the Mi4 presents better value for money.
Oppo with its QHD screen gets an edge over the mi4 which is also a great flagship phone.......
